La Clusaz is a ski resort situated in the Haute Savoie region of the French Alps. Just an hours drive from
Geneva Airport, this is one of the shortest transfers for any ski resort in the French Alps, making it an ideal destination for short breaks and long weekends!
Also nearby are Annecy, with its own TGV
train station and also
Chambery airport.
The ski resort of La Clusaz is in the Aravis range and this comprises a number of linked ski resorts all under one liftpass, the next most famous of these is Le Grand Bornand. The combined area provides you with upwards of 220 KM of pistes, some exceptional snow parks and also a vast range of cross-country skiing trails.
The village of La Clusaz has maintained its French charm and is far less developed than some of its more famous neighbours. That does not mean that it does not offer plenty for you to do on your holiday asides from skiing and snowboarding, with some good aprés ski and shopping on offer.
La Clusaz is home to a large amount of famous skiers and snowboarders, particularly when you consider the size of the village itself. Perhaps the most famous skiing son of La Clusaz is Candide Thovex.
