Summer Skiing and Snowboarding in the Alps

Summer Skiing and Snowboarding

It may seem that once the lifts close at the end of the winter season, then there are only a couple of options for a skier or snowboarder to get their fix. You could either head to the resorts in the southern hemisphere, or stay more local and head to one of the snowdomes or dry ski slopes.

Well, there is a third and possibly more appealing option – head to one of the resorts that open in the summer months and take the chance to enjoy the mountains in a different way than you would in the winter.

There are a variety of resorts in northern Scandinavia that open in the summer months. There are also the high altitude glaciers throughout the Alps. These offer a great base to grab a few hours on the slopes in the morning, before heading down the mountain in the afternoon to take advantage of one of the many other activities available in the Alps in the summer. Or, if a bit of skiing or snowboarding is active enough, then simply sit back in the sunshine and take in the spectacular scenery and relaxed atmoshpere.
Some of the most famous and popular destinations for summer skiing and snowboarding in the Alps include resorts such as; Tignes and Les Deux Alpes in France; Saas Fee, Zermatt, Engelberg and Les Diabralets in Switzerland; Kaprun, Hintertux and Stubai in Austria and Passo Tonale in Italy.

Ski-Lifts offer airport transfers year round to these resorts. Simply use the quote generator and book online for your airport transfer.
