Argentiere is a ski village north of Chamonix, France.
It stands at an altitude of around 1,250 meters. A bit more compact style of village than Chamonix, Argentiere is able to offer even more convenient access to the best slopes in the area. The highest lift will take you to the top of 3330m and you will have to be in a good physical condition to bear a 2050m vertical drop to the bottom of the mountain. While most of the slopes are suitable for intermediate skiers, advanced and expert skiers have the chance to take part in skiing in The Grands Montets area for more challenging runs.
Argentiere itself connects 30km of long, wide, easy stretches for beginners, as well as narrow and steep tree runs for more advanced skiers. Freestyle riders will also find wide, bumpy spots.
