Bad Gastein resort is a part of Gastein Valley family. Together with Bad Hofgastein, Dorfgastein, Sportgastein and other resorts, Gastein Valley is one of the main destinations for skiing in Austria. The Gastein Valley is known for its spa centres, thermal baths and of course 50 ski lifts with over 200km of steep slopes.
With skiing altitude of 2500m, skiing and snowboarding are unbeatable during peak season. Ski Amadé ski pass covers the whole area of Gastein valley and allows access to all of the resorts.
The resort of Bad Gastein reaches an altitude of 1050m and with the highest peak of 2700m, it creates a very serious vertical drop suitable for intermediate and expert skiers. In addition to a good set of long, challenging red slopes, the high Sportastein area offers extensive snowfields and more difficult ski places for skill testing.
