While 12km of pistes might seem like a small amount, Filzmoos is well connected with multiple ski areas, there are collective ski passes that cover all these and would allow you to access a far greater area to go skiing. Aside from the downhill pistes, there are over 40km of cross-country ski trails.

There are slopes right beside the village centre so beginners aren’t expected to use the drag lifts right away. The pistes in Filzmoos are wide and spacious allowing extra room for beginners to practice along with there not being many queues for lifts either.

The Filzmoos ski area is being constantly improved and it is ranked in the top 20 for the best ski resort with under 20km of pistes.

Filzmoos is a small traditional village tucked away in the Austrian Alps. The sky line is dominated by the twin towers of the Bischofsmütze mountain. The ski resort is best suited to beginners and intermediates with it’s 12km of pistes and 40km of cross-country trails.
