Skiing in Keystone
Keystone is probably one of the most family-focused ski areas in the world, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be a drag for parents who come for a fun ski holiday. Half of the area’s runs are rated for experts and Keystone is the largest night skiing operation in Colorado, so if you want thrills, Keystone has them.
The resort is made of three mountains: Dercum, North Peak, and The Outback. They’re all over 3,300 meters. On Dercum, you’ll find beginner runs and the Family Ski Trail, along with a number of intermediate runs. Also on this mountain is the award-winning A51 terrain park, which features 60 acres of park features including boxes, rails, and jumps.
North Peak offers a variety of intermediate and advanced runs along with a variety of on-mountain food options like the Timber Ridge food court, The Outpost, and Labonte’s Smokehouse BBQ.
The Outback, which has the tallest peak of the three mountains, offers powder turns and tree skiing.
If 3 peaks aren’t enough for you, Keystone offers its North and South bowls for fantastic hike-to terrain, tree runs, and powder laps across more than 1,000 acres.
