Laax is a Swiss ski resort associated with the Flims/Laax/Falera ski area. The Laax ski area in itself has 58 individual pistes and 28 ski lifts. With skiing being done generally above the 2000m, snow coverage is usually reliable.
Beginners can grow their skills by heading toward the gentle nursery slopes near Films Dorf or jump on a chairlift higher up the resort to arrive at Startgels – both pretty awesome locations if you’re in an initial phase in skiing.
Almost half of the terrain in Laax is intermediate-based, it’s an area quite easy to navigate through, where skiers can thoroughly enjoy a carefree experience without the worry of crashing into a pine tree.
Plenty of the terrain in Laax is graded black, which for expert skiers is brilliant. A 6km downhill piste descending from Vorab to Alp Ruschein is an experience of pure adrenaline. Expert skiers also have the World Cup descent coming from Crap down to Laax and, one which is well-known among avid skiers is the black run from Cassons Grat to Naraus.
