The Hochkönig mountain range boasts the distinction of being the highest massif of the Berchtesgaden Alps. In this area is also Hundstein, Europe’s highest grass mountain. What a place to ski!

Against this backdrop you’ll also see a number of buildings that have been preserved from centuries past, including the Maria Alm Pilgrimage Church which is the highest church tower in Salzburg. This adds somewhat of a charming fairy-tale vibe to the landscape as you ski.

Speaking of skiing, Maria Alm’s perfectly-groomed ski slopes offer over 90km of trails around the village of Maria Alm. You’ll find more trails on the lift pass at Hochkönig, along with a night-lift for night skiing and a floodlit toboggan run!
