Schladming is part of a huge ski area called the Ski Amade ski alliance. This network or resorts gives you access to a very impressive 860km of pistes.
The majority of runs in both mountains are intermediate to advanced level and consist in descending through the steep and thick forests.

Beginners can start off by using the Planai gondola that goes up the mountain to the nursery area. Another alternative (after several ski classes) is to try out the lower slopes in Hochwurzen which can be reached by riding the chairlift.
