St Johann in Tirol is an Austrian ski resort associated with the Kitzbüheler Alpen ski area. An area with 621km of downhill skiing, 344 individual pistes and 197 ski lifts. St Johann itself has 60km of ski runs which are already impressive within of itself.

You can access St Johann amazing runs from different points, all set on the outskirts of town. Many of which contain gentle nursery slopes and give access to easy and intermediate areas.

Beginners are able to find well-prepared nursery slopes and a dozen of fine, wide areas to increase their confidence with. These areas can lead to more difficult areas where they can easily progress to as they improve their level of skill and confidence.

Intermediates are the ones who can probably enjoy the best St Johann has to offer, considering the available blue and red runs available in the region. A region offering challenge and a variety of runs not only within St Johann but in the neighbour resorts and its respective skiing areas.

As an Expert, you’d want to specifically visit the black run in Penzing that stretches down to Oberndorf. One great advice would be to take advantage of the other areas near St Johann which are sure to provide a massive amount of challenge.
