Buses and Coaches are no longer allowed into the main Va’ d’Isere town (between 07:00 and 21:00) with the new relocated Bus Station in La Daille acting as the main drop off point. La Daille is a few kilometres before the entrance to the main resort. When taking a bus/coach shuttle you will need to then take the ‘Red Train’ resort shuttle to get to your accommodation.
Unlike scheduled large shuttle buses or shared transfers that require you to change vehicles, wait around and get dropped off at La Daille, we take you directly to your accommodation in Val d’Isere in a single vehicle. These routes can be scenic, but they often involve multiple changes and longer travel times, especially during winter weather or peak weekends. This is typically the most budget-friendly option, but the total travel time is generally much longer, potentially 5 to 7 hours or more, including waiting and transfer times.
Another option is to hire a car from Geneva Airport, giving you flexibility on arrival. However, driving in snowy alpine conditions can be challenging. Driving time is approximately 3 hours under good conditions. Val d’Isère has car restrictions (Nov 1 – Mar 31), you must ensure the car is equipped for winter driving, you will need a French Crit’Air sticker for vehicle emissions, and parking In most cases must be pre-booked.
