Le Grand Bornand Ski Resort

Le Grand Bornand is a French Ski Resort associated with the Lake Annecy ski area, giving you access to 252km of downhill skiing, 162 individual pistes and 151 ski lifts.

While Le Grand Bornand is comprised of 100km of ski runs, carrying the appropriate ski pass, you can easily access four different sectors (La Joyère, Le Chinaillon-Lachat, Le Maroly and La Duche-Les Annes) that can be reached through the first village (Le Grand Bornand) and the second village (Chinaillon).

La Joyére is the ideal place for beginners, where after learning how to ski, you can experience the gentler and wider slopes. Chinaillon, on the other hand, offers you an area catering to every level of skier with a mixture of different runs.

Further along the valley, you arrive at the Maroly area, with its vast terrain, less suited for beginners, but great for intermediate and slightly more advanced skiers with its abundance of blue and red runs. The highest point is La Chat (2100m), presenting you with a freeride area. La Chat is suited to advanced skiers due to the two red runs and the single black run.

Following through, Les Annes is a more remote area, offering you gentle and less intimidating slopes which transform the Le Grand Bornand into a beginner-friendly resort where a steep learning curve isn’t imminent and you can enjoy a nice and relaxed skiing journey.
