Obergurgl ski resort is situated at the far end of the Otztal valley near Innsbruck. It is one of the highest ski resorts in Europe and is one of the most snowsure non-glacial resorts. Obergurgl is perfect for beginners, intermediates and families. The resort caters for both skiiers and snowboarders with over 112km of slopes and 4.5 k of ski routes available, and 26 lifts with no queues to get you to the slopes.
There are high-altitude cross-country trails, winter hiking paths, toboggan parties and more activities on offer in Obergurgl. Obergurgl is a lively old Austrian village that maintains its unique heritage and culture. It is one of the highest skiing villages in Europe and is very family-friendly resort to holiday within. The village, however, lacks a true centre point or core but it makes up for it as most amenities are as a result much closer to accommodation complexes.
The village has many bars and nightclubs catering to all types of tourists, however, the nightlife scene is a lot more relaxed than many other Austrian resorts.
