Skiing in Snowmass

Well, the clue is in the name, Snowmass is literally covered in masses of fresh Colorado powder regularly during the season. The Snowmass ski area covers more than 3,300 acres, which included 94 trails over 150 miles. Snowmass is also home to three terrain parks and pipes. Some of the trails stretch as long as 5 miles, so a stop at one of the 7 on-mountain restaurants will be perfect for a stop and rest. One of the locals (who happens to be the World Extreme Skiing Champion) says, “Snowmass has some of the best steeps, cliffs, couloirs, backcountry, terrain parks, and powder anywhere in North America.”

Over 9/10 of the lodging in Snowmass is ski-in/ski-out, so you won’t need to waste anytime when it comes to getting to the slopes. It’s a good job as well, there’s so much to do in Snowmass that you will need that time to enjoy everything they have on offer, including; on-mountain concerts, family-friendly dining, races and competitions and hundreds of other activities!
