To get from Geneva to Val d’Isère via train, you first get a train from Geneva airport to Geneva, change and get a second train from Geneva to Chambéry Challes Les Eaux, then change and get a third train to Bourg-Saint Maurice. Finally you leave the station and get a bus (T14, two buses daily) to Gare-Routiere which at the edge of Val d’Isère. The full journey takes just under 7 hours, providing you time your changes well, but it is not possible to start your travel in the evening as you will miss the last bus.
