Skiing in Val d’illiez
Val D’illiez is the main village of Val D’Illiez’s resort Swiss commune. Slightly lower in altitude than Champoussin and Les Crosets, Val d’Illiez is more of a real village than it’s resort-like neighbours, but still with good access to Portes du Soleil.
Champoussin offers a huge range of activities for everyone, skiers and non-skiers alike: paragliding, sledging, snowshoeing, horseback riding and hiking.
Back-country skiing options are not only plentiful but strangely convenient. Sometimes just a 10-minute hike from the top of a lift can take you to complete wilderness.

Facilities in Val d’Illiez
As part of the Portes du Soleil, one of the biggest ski areas in the world, and the only cross-border one (France-Switzerland), Val d’Illiez offers a unique blend of cultures & scale no other ski area in the world can touch.
The Portes du Soleil region is vast, and so are its food options. Avoriaz is well-known for its cheap burger joints, but there’s a Michelin-starred chef not too far away in Morzine (which also happens to have the most lively nightlife scene). Champéry is known for its traditional melted cheeses (fondues) and rostis (shredded & fried potatoes).
From family hotels to traditional chalets, the variety of accommodation in Val d’Illiez is also vast. Val d’Illiez, in particular, has stuck to the classic, wooden chalet look that gives the village a fairy-tale vibe.
There are 2 ski schools in Val d’Illiez. Both will help you and your family to make the most of your trip. They offer skiing & snowboarding lessons in groups or one-on-one sessions. Book your ski hire in Val d’Illiez.

One of the most cost effective and efficient ways of getting to the resort.
Similar to a shared transfer, except this runs to a set timetable, so you're required to book a service that works for your flight times.
Generally not door-to-door but cheaper.
Book a driver and vehicle for your sole use.
No sharing with others, no waiting at the airport and a direct door-to-door service, with no additional stops en route.
Similar to a private transfer the only difference is that it is using a larger vehicle.
Perfect for larger groups wanting to travel together.
