Are all transfers door-to-door?

Most transfers we offer are door-to-door, as long as a surfaced, cleared road reaches your accommodation.

Scheduled shuttle transfers and some shared transfers use a central pick-up and drop-off point in the resort instead. You’ll see which applies in the transfer description when you book, and it’s also in your booking confirmation.

Sometimes a vehicle can’t reach your accommodation directly, for example because of:

  • bad weather or road conditions
  • a road that’s too narrow for the vehicle, especially larger vehicles like coaches
  • accommodation in a pedestrianised or car-free area

When this happens, your driver will drop you off or collect you at the nearest point they can safely reach. You’ll need to make your own way between there and your accommodation.

Some popular resorts are completely car-free, including Avoriaz, Les Arcs 1950, Saas-Fee, Wengen and Zermatt.

To help your transfer run smoothly:

  • check how your accommodation is reached before you travel
  • make sure the address on your booking is correct, and tell us about any changes at least 2 days before you travel

If you’re not sure whether a vehicle can reach your accommodation, contact us before you travel and we’ll talk through your options. See the Supplier Terms and Conditions for full details.
