The resort of Valmorel is part of the ‘Le Grand Domaine’ ski area, which links up 6 mountain villages and gives you over 160 individual pistes to explore.

With many of these runs over 2500m, good snow is all but guaranteed throughout the season.

If you‘re considering a quality skiing holiday in France, then Valmorel resort should be at the top of your list. The family-friendly surroundings, nice wide slopes and good accommodation are perfect for kids and adults who are looking to learn skiing.

The altitude of Valmorel is conditionally low (1400m), but the upgraded lift system allows an easy slope-to-door access for most skiers. The highest point for skiing is at 2500m, so the vertical drop reaches 1150m. Skiing in Le Grand Domaine region – including neighbouring Valmorel villages of Doucy, Celliers and Saint François Longchamp -is served with 50 ski lifts, over 300 snow machines and 150km of slopes.

The appropriate ski pass will give you access to skiing in the region on many slopes with different characteristics.
