Meribel Ski Resort
Meribel is part of the largest linked ski area, Les Trois Vallees (The Three Valleys) which is one of the largest in the world with access to 600km of pistes for you to enjoy. With Courchevel, a world famous spot located in the west and Val Thorens’ high altitude slopes stretching across the opposite side, skiers have got plenty to choose from in an area with 600km of downhill skiing and more than 400 individual pistes.
Even if you choose to stay strictly in Meribel, you can easily entertain yourself with the 150kms of slopes. This is more of a paradise for intermediate skiers although there’s plenty for expert pistes to exploit, such as the off-piste Mt. Vallon overlooking Meribel-Mottagaret or the Les Bosses black runs, both sharing quite the infamous reputation.
For less experienced skiers, you can most definitely find gentler choices that include the 3.6km red run descending the Combe du Vallon and the Pic Noir piste that runs down past the trees all the way from Col de la Loze. For beginners, there are a couple of easy runs that can be found near the Ailport and Rond Point des Pistes, as well as in Meribel-Mottagaret.
Meribel itself is made up of four separate villages or towns, each with its own feel. Ski-Lifts provide airport transfers to each of these and they are, Meribel town, Meribel village, Meribel Les Allues and Meribel Mottaret
