Skiing in Madonna di Campiglio

Situated in the Dolomites, Madonna Di Campiglio is one of the most stylish Italian resorts.

Madonna di Campiglio stands at a modest 1,520m, however, this isn’t a resort which is famous for early or late season conditions.  The majority of the ski area is below 2,100m and the highest pistes are only set at 2,500m.  February is generally more stable for good snow cover, rather than March.

Even though the resort is popular and well known, it rarely feels crowded.  With 150km of pistes on offer, even at peak times its easy to get away from it all.

There is also a good range of options for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.  One reason that Campiglio doesn’t get too crowded is that it is slightly more remote than other resorts in the area.

A Pinzolo ski pass covers Madonna di Campiglio and surrounding resorts, including; Pinzolo, Folgarida and Marilleva.

There are none of the hyper chalets which draw in the rich and famous visitors to the likes of Val d’Isère and Courchevel in the French Alps.  However, there is a good range of hotels where prices even at the high end are far from the prices which can be found in other resorts.
