Val Cenis Ski Resort
Val Cenis is a French ski resort with direct access to 125km of downhill skiing and 28 ski lifts. The resort offers a wider selection of skiing even to those who consider themselves more skilled in the sport—it provides a wonderful experience for those with moderate ability.
From each village’s nursery slopes to the excellent green run at the top of Val Cenis, beginners and intermediates have a golden opportunity to hone their basic skills.
On the other hand, more advanced skiers will see their options reduced to one or two days of enjoyable skiing. Five of the six black runs available are quite short. One is a 720m vertical descent from the long Le Lac run.
One of the most exciting runs, near the 2800m lift, is Michele Jacot – which initiates as a 400m black run and then converts into a red slope for the rest of the 1400m run.
If conditions are appropriate, the off-piste runs near the highest-altitude black runs open up for exploration. Even intermediate-level skiers can delve in if they’ve got the basics down.
