Skiing in Montgenevre

Montgenevre is French Ski resort located in the Milky Way area, giving you access to 933km of downhill skiing, 598 individual pistes and 175 lifts. Montgenevre itself has 99km of pistes to explore.

This is a circuit that is best enjoyed by Intermediate skiers due to the immense variety of trails available above the treeline that eventually traverse the forest. More specifically, the Les Anges run found at the top of the resort and a long red run that goes from Le Chavlet into the valley.

Beginners have the wide sunny slopes to exploit right beside the village which with resort’s altitude and the snow cannons, the snow coverage is usually secured throughout the season. An interesting fact is that these slopes are normally sunny but despite it, the level of snow is not affected to the point you can’t ski anymore.

Montgenevre provides an optimal experience for skiers with a more adventurous spirit. It is an ideal resort for those not wanting to repeat the same runs endlessly as it gives you a lot to explore.

There are nine black runs in Montgenevre alone. For experts, this is wonderful news, but the only issue is that to reach these dotted areas all around the mountain, you have to travel for quite some time.

Overall, this is a resort that caters to all levels, but it’s definitely best for intermediates.
