Fancy Skiing in North America This Winter?
It always seems that any year where the Alps suffer for snow, North america more than makes up for it by having record breaking snowfall.
Two years ago was the perfect example for this, with many European resorts struggling to keep pistes open, whilst the North American resorts had the enviable problem of trying to work out what to do with all the snow that kept on coming and some resorts staying open until July!
Move forward a year land you see a complete reversal in fortunes, with European resorts seeing snow levels the like of which hadn’t been seen for decades and many of the American resorts, getting off to an extremely slow start.
Trying to second guess what might happen this year is virtually impossible – there’s always talk about the jet streams, El Nino, El Nina, etc, but as we’re sure Michael Fish would tell you, predicting the weather is not an exact science.
One thing that we do know is that if we could predict it, that would be a very useful talent!
However, there are certain resorts in North America that rarely (if ever) struggle for snow. You start looking at some of the average snowfall’s for these resorts and you’re talking in metres!!
Ski-Lifts have been offering airport transfers to some of the best ski resorts on the North American continent for a couple of years now. So, if you do decide to head out that way this winter, we can still offer you the same great range of transfers to your resort.
We currently offer airport transfers from Denver, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver airports to resorts in theUnited States and Canada.
Check out some of our resort pages to find out more detailed information about each resort (including average snow depths for some of the resorts).
Currently we offer transfers to Aspen, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Keystone, Steamboat andVail in the USA and Banff, Fernie, Golden, Jasper, Panorama, Revelstoke and Whistler in Canada.
We hope you find this information useful and obviously hope that you have a great trip, with perfect snow, where ever you end up. Whether that is a resort in North America, Europe or even Scotland (we’re sorry but airport transfers are not yet available with Ski-Lifts to ski resorts in Scotland!).
